Wednesday Night Youth Group
Junior High and Senior High Youth Group meet at church on Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm. We start off together in the sanctuary singing praises to our amazing God (led by an outstanding youth worship team) and then split into Junior and Senior High groups for age appropriate, Bible-saturated lessons. We also make time for sharing our lives, discussing the topic of the evening and praying in small groups. And what youth group would be complete without fun games and time to just hang out?!

Sunday School
Junior High Sunday School meets during the first service in the youth room. A lot of JH students go down to the sanctuary for the music, so we start the lesson after children are dismissed from the service. However, all JH students are more than welcome – with their parents’ approval – to come up to the youth room at 9am to hang out and play foosball, bumper pool, or darts.

During 6th-8th grade, students will spend one year surveying the Old Testament, specifically in relation to the covenants God made with His people and the prophecies leading up to the coming of Christ, the Messiah. Then for two years students will slow down the pace a bit and study nearly every chapter in the New Testament, focusing on the coming, death, burial and resurrection of Christ and how we as Christians are to live in the light of God’s saving grace in our lives.

Senior High Sunday School meets during the second service in the youth room. Typically we start right away at 10:45am with a time of sharing and prayer and then jump into the lesson about 20 minutes later. SH students dig into the Bible at a slower pace and in more depth than JH students. We spent the entire school year studying the Gospel of John and will be studying a new book of the Bible (yet to be determined) starting this fall. Over the summer we will be examining the C&MA statement of faith, taking an in-depth look at what we believe and why. In addition to these studies, students are able to regularly share with each other through “Song Talks.” During a “Song Talk” a student takes a moment to play a song that has had a deep impact on their life and then shares with the class why it is meaningful to them.
